This draft article wants to give an overview of how to develop own themes for phpWebSite Versions 1.x.x with as less as work as possible. Regard, theme development differs essential between version 0.10.x and versions 1.x.x.

1.1.Basics about theme styling
With a first view, theme development for versions 1 of phpWebSite seems much more difficult then in the past with versions 0.10.x. Let say, it only seems so. Instead, layout of your site becomes much more easier. That is because phpWebSite uses state of the art style technics, like cascading style sheets together with xhtml.
That does not mean, the work is easy done without some helpful tools and without knowledge of the technics, especially of css. There are no easy click/paste interactive manoevres to have a goal. But this article will show some ways, where also beginners, I hope, will have a chance to survey also. Everybody who knows and uses technics like firebug and dom-inspection has just reach the end of the story. For all others, let start.
